My son and his class sang along to Las Mananitas at their Mother’s Day program at his school on Thursday. Las Mananitas are sang/performed by mariachis for special occasions such as birthdays and Dia de las Madres (Mother’s Day in Mexico is tomorrow.) Vicente Fernandez is considered a legend in Mexico and in several parts of the United States, perhaps worldwide.
