You run your fingers over the cover and turn to page one. A new book awaits and magic is about to happen…

Here are the many stages of reading a really good book.

You can’t contain your excitement

Because ANYTHING is possible at this point!

You realise you’re hooked

There’s no going back now and you don’t even care.

You stop going out and being sociable

What’s the point? You will never have an adventure as brilliant as what lies within those pages.

You start getting very irritable…

… and cannot stand being interrupted mid-read

Because reading suggests ‘Please, come and talk to me, I’m not busy’ to the untrained eye.

Apparently.

You pity those who just don’t get it

If they would only go and get their own copy, then they’d understand.

You try to force others to read it
