This morning I decided to take part in my old yoga and Pilates DVD, “Louise Solomon’s Yoga & Pilates Total Body Toner.” This DVD has been with me for about 10 years! It helped me lose my baby weight after my son was born. I gained about 35 pounds while I was pregnant. It seems like it was SO much easier to lose weight in my 20s than it is now in my 30s! Anyway, the DVD’s helped me shed a few pounds here and there throughout the years. I felt amazing after I finished a 30 minute workout this morning! I’m going to continue doing it three times a week, either before or after work. I would like to work on toning my body and living a healthier lifestyle. My job and not working out as much cause my blood pressure to go up. A lot of my family also suffers from diabetes. Working out is a preventive measure for me. It also allows me to feel more energized! Lately, I’ve felt tired and unmotivated
Although I won’t completely stop eating pizza, hamburgers, enchiladas and tacos, I plan on cutting back. I especially need to cut out soda for the time being. Exercising has always been a part of my life. Even if I stop for awhile, I eventually go back to it. I enjoy riding the bike at the gym, the treadmill, walking, doing yoga and Pilates, etc. Back in high school, I ran track and cross country for four years. I would say this was when I was in the best shape of my life. I don’t enjoy jogging anymore because my knees start hurting. However, doing yoga and Pilates gives you an amazing feeling after you finish. I feel as if my body begins to crave it! It also helps me have a clearer and relaxed mindset.
It’s never too late to get back into exercising or eating healthier! Taking the stairs instead and/or taking a short walk, parking the car further away are all good beginnings. I think it’s still OK to enjoy your favorite unhealthy foods and snacks at times though! I won’t give up ice cream or chips completely! Happy Sunday everyone! I found The Brothers Grimm DVD here in my house. I’m trying to get into the movie but it isn’t happening. I think I’ll just do some chores around here or pick another movie!
Zumba is more aerobic and works your muscles differently. I do it at a church gym so there is plenty of room.

Oh yeah I’ve seen your posts about Zumba! They have a lot of gyms and classes that offer it here but I’ve never tried it. Do you enjoy Zumba or do you only do it to stay healthy? Would you recommend it?
