Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. One thing I’ve always enjoyed in El Paso are the beautiful and breathtaking sunsets. I hope you enjoy Brian Wancho ‘s photo as much as I have. Do you see the star on top of the mountain? The star stays lit for someone who’s passed away, a birthday or other special occasions. The photo was taken close to Downtown.
Thank you!! 😀

Great! I’m excited for you! I’m a former distance runner so I can understand the adrenaline rush. I never did a marathon or even a half marathon though! That’s really gutsy! I’ll be looking your post! Have fun and I wish you the best!

Yea I was just looking at your blog. I think it’s neat that you’re a runner who does marathons, half marathons! It sounds like a lot of work but at the same time it’s exciting! Are you ready for your upcoming race?

Actually I live in the Seattle area now. We moved here about 9 years ago. I’ve been back home twice since, so I really really really miss Mexican food!! 😀

I’m in my 30s. I’m familiar with the situation but I didn’t know it was lit for that reason. You aren’t too far away 🙂 Come by anytime! I miss Juarez too! I haven’t been back in 12 years! I kinda live by Morehead! What a small world! I like Arizona! We went to Phoenix and The Grand Canyon last year. It was very hot but I enjoyed it. I blogged about the trip.

I think you might be a big younger than me, lol, :D. When Iran took hostage a whole bunch of Americans, that star stayed lit the entire time until they were set free. I did like it, but I’m from Tucson, and I wanted to go back home to Arizona, which we eventually did. I went to Morehead Junior High for a year. I loved Cielo Vista. Juarez was always a blast to visit. And boy do I miss the Mexican food!!! I haven’t had good Mexican food since forever. El Paso is where I fell in love with chile rellenos, covered in queso. Oh my gosh, I need a trip down south!! 😀

Really? Hmm, I didn’t even know about that! They used to only light it for Christmas. Now it stays on every night. Did you like it here?

I lived in El Paso in 1980/1981. Is that the same star that stayed lit for all the hostages in Iran until they were set free?
