Happy Friday everyone! Thank you to Anand from Blabberwockying for nominating me for the interview challenge. Anand writes beautiful and inspiring poetry. I highly recommend his blog. Please visit and/or follow his blog if you aren’t already.
Rules of This Challenge:
1. Mention the person who tagged you.
2. Answer the questions in full.
3. Don’t forget to tag up to ten other bloggers at the end.
How did you get into blogging?
I got into blogging on February 25. My childhood friend and neighbor (who’s also a WP blogger), Ryan Loera asked if I wanted to help him write for his e-zine/blog. I said yes! Please take a look/follow one of his many blogs if you aren’t already. Ryan is also a great musician. He’s written and published several books. I have a very hard time keeping up with what he’s doing. As of right now, he’s been vlogging and including the vlogs here and on YouTube. After writing for Ryan’s e-zine, I decided to start my own blog. I’ve been writing since I was 6, even though I took a five-year break in 2010. I’ve enjoyed blogging very much so far! I’ve met some amazing people from around the world. I continue to learn a lot while blogging.
What advice would you give to a blogger just starting out?
Write/post whatever is on your mind. Be genuine and yourself. If you have the opportunity, read other blogs. You will learn a lot. Be friendly and acknowledge the comments you receive, even if it’s just a thank you for reading and/or a like. It’s the polite thing to do.
What would be your dream campaign?
I would love to go back to covering concerts, interviewing bands and reviewing albums.
Do you have a plan for your blog?
I’m currently looking for freelance writing opportunities, along with doing some guest posts. I plan on bringing more interviews and investigative pieces to this blog. Investigative pieces take months to do because of all of the research that goes into them. I’ve been working on one now for months. I will continue to post about music and sports too, along with current events, etc.
What do you think about rankings?
I try not to focus on them too much.
