Hi everyone! Are you almost ready for Christmas? I still need to do a few things. I’m planning on baking cookies, most likely Biscochos/ Mexican holiday cookies later on tonight or tomorrow. I recently posted my mom’s recipe for them. You can check it out here.
Today is the last day of the challenge for me. I want to thank Scales Simple for nominating me for this wonderful challenge! I also want to thank her for coming up with it. Day 12 asks what I’m grateful for this Christmas. Here is my list. What are you grateful for this Christmas?
This Christmas I’m grateful for:
Good health. It could use some improvement but I’m grateful I’m not in the hospital or suffering from a terminal disease. It can be difficult to get around life without good health.
My family members who love me unconditionally. They’ve been there for me through thick and thin. They’ve never turned their back on me when I was struggling in life. They’ve seen me shine! At the same time, they’ve seen me at my worst.
My son and Andre. My son makes me want to work hard in life for him and myself. He’s changed me in such a positive way. Even though me and Andre have our ups and downs, he continues to be in my life. He’s helped me a lot in the nearly three years we’ve been together. He’s been there when I’ve needed someone to talk to, celebrate good times, take care of me when I’m sick, help me with my son and the list goes on! He’s become one of my best friends. I love my family more than they know.
The true friends I still have. The ones I can talk to whenever, whether it’s 6 a.m. or midnight. The ones who don’t judge me. The ones who understand me or at least make an effort to. I’ve already met some great friends here.
Each and every one of you who reads Life of an El Paso Woman. I didn’t know where this blog was headed when it started on Feb. 25. Do you know what my first post was? Lol. It was a review about the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. I’m so grateful to have a total audience of over 1,100 here, by e-mail and on social media. I think this blog will continue growing. Thank you!
This post is dedicated to you. Have a wonderful holiday season and a great 2016! Keep blogging!
Thank you for reading it! 🙂 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

For “historical purposes” only I did go back and read that very first post you made…what a way to start out your site! Thanks for following my sites and all the best to you, yours and all your readers in 2016!

In very small numbers — one here, two there — but it is growing. Thanks again for the kind offer of help. Like I said before, you do meet the nicest people when blogging. 🙂

Thank you. I’ll keep plugging away at it. My blog does keep growing little by little, so that’s a positive. I’ve also had very good luck with my fellow bloggers so far and met many nice people.
By the way, thanks for the offer of help. That’s very kind of you. I do occasionally run into blogging problems, especially with working out settings and that kind of thing, so it’s great to have a friendly face to ask about things if I get stuck. I greatly appreciate it. 🙂

Yea I liked it LOL. I haven’t even read any of the books yet. I think another movie is supposed to come out this year or next. I still need to finish wrapping and buy one more gift. I went out to the stores last night after work and people are crazy and rude! They drive bad too! I wanted to bake cookies tonight too!

So you liked it! You should let the author know but on the other hand to tell from the sales numbers you were not the only one! LOL! Yes, I am basically ready. All under control and organized. We are keeping it easy so whatever happens is not a big deal! Hope you are ready too or at least have everything under controll too 🙂

Hi there! 🙂 Thank you for reading the post! Believe me when I say there are days when I feel like quitting but I don’t. Just keep working on your blog and it will keep growing. The most important thing is to have fun and be yourself! Try to connect with others as much as you can on social media and WP. If you ever have questions, feel free to ask here on my blog, email me or ask others here. About 95 percent of the people here are very helpful and nice. 🙂

LOL! I wrote about the sex scenes too! You know what they say, sex sells! LOL. Even though it got a lot of bad reviews, my review was positive. Merry Christmas Erika! It’s been great chatting with you here! Are you ready for Christmas now?

Nice post. It’s always good to take a few minutes to remember all the good things we have in our lives.
By the way, I admire the way you’ve built up your readership. I wish I could emulate it. So far I feel my blog is hidden under a rock.
