A huge thank you goes out to Paul from wwwpalfitness for nominating me for TWO Liebster awards recently.
The rules are: 1. Say thank you to the person who nominated you. 2.Pick 5 people to nominate (Since it’s two awards, I’m picking 10.) 3. Ask 5 questions. 4. Post the pic in the post.
Questions:
1. Do you like Holidays? Even though they can be hectic, yes I enjoy them.
2. Introvert or extrovert? Introvert until I get to know you better.
3. Is your writing real or fantasy? Real. I plan on writing some books. One will be based on my blog and the other will be fiction.
4. What kind of blog do you describe yours as many categories are fine? Lifestyle, memoir? It’s me?
5. Are you afraid of anything, if so what? No, not really. Being afraid is just a mindset.
- If you knew you could commit a crime and get away Scott free, what would you do and why? Rob a bank. I wouldn’t have to work anymore and I could help my loved ones and different charities.
- What is most daring thing that you have ever done? Run cross country and track. If I ever run a marathon, it’ll be daring for me.
- How about the most disgusting thing you ever did? As a prank, I gave a kid a fish candy when I was in fourth grade. I feel bad about it because he said it was nasty and started crying.
- What haven’t you done that is wild that you have on your bucket list of crazy things to do? I would say sky diving.
- Are you dreading, excited or blah about the Holidays? There’s been times when I’m not excited about the holidays. I was very excited this year. The Christmas spirit really hit me hard.
Here are my questions. Feel free to answer five or more.
- What’s your favorite holiday?
- What is your favorite thing to cook or bake?
- What’s the best thing about the city where you live?
- What are some of your favorite movies?
- What was one of the hardest thing you’ve ever done in life so far?
- Who are you the closest with in your family?
- Why did you start blogging?
- Is the glass half empty or half full?
- Are you a Star Wars fan?
- What was your favorite toy growing up?
I nominate the following for this award:
Sure! Let’s do this! Lol.

I can just about imagine being persuaded to bungee jump if it involved some kind of nice treat at the end for my bravery and something very, very soft underneath.

Lol. They have it in Las Vegas.

You’re welcome! 🙂 Congratulations! Happy New Year! My grandma told me about cod liver oil. It didn’t sound so tasty. They let you bungee jump in Las Vegas so maybe one day. A former co-worker did it and said it felt liberating.

Congratulations on the (twin) awards. Thank you too for the nomination. I’m very flattered to receive it, although I must admit that I’m so disorganized I tend to have a rather poor record on following up on awards, although I’m delighted to be asked.
I was very interested to read about the worst thing you ever did. Giving another kid a fish candy doesn’t sound so bad in the scale of evil actions to me, although I guess it might depend on how bad it tasted. I may be a little biased, though. When I was a child, my mother used to give me cod liver oil drops, which kids are supposed to hate but I actually loved. My brother used to secretly give me his one too.
I also admire your bravery in even contemplating the possibility of skydiving. There’s nothing that would ever induce me to do it (except possibly vast amounts of money).
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year season. 🙂

They pair you with an experienced teacher to make sure you don’t panic and forget to pull the cord or anything like that.

Congratulations! I don’t know if I could ever jump from an airplane. I have a friend that jumps every year on her birthday. The good thing is that until you reach a certain number of jumps you jump with a partner. She loves it. Thank you for the nomination 🙂

Thanks Erika! Lol. Oh yeah I would continue writing. I’d quit my day job for free even if I don’t become a billionaire. I’m tempted to every single day I’m there..

I used to work with some guys who loved to skydive… FYI, before you take your first jump, you’ll have to write out a will. (Seriously.) 🙂

LOL. I’ve heard of the bean tamales but I’ve never tried them. It sounds pretty good! I’ve never heard of the sweet corn tamales. Some Mexicans make tamales out of mole. I don’t like mole.

Oh yes, pineapple…they used that too…been way to long since I have made tamales….I made some with refired beans and cheese and green sauce…toatally vegetarian…I thought they were yummy….I Spanish friends thought I had committed tamale blasphemy….LOL they also make some sweet corn tamales with sugar in the masa and whole corn added too…yummy…I tried to replicate it by using creamed corn to the masa and cheddar cheese in the middle…not a good combo…LOL

Oh wow that’s interesting! It sounds good! We always use corn husks. The red have pork and chile. The green are chicken, cheese and green chile. The sweet have raisins, coconut, pecans and strawberries. This was the first year we added strawberries. It was SO tasty. Some people add pineapple but we didn’t.

Thanks for taking on the tamale calories for me..LOL they did a masa with chicken, green olives and boiled potatoes cut up In a green chili sauce and some with boiled shredded beef in a red sauce…the sweet were always raisin, cinnamon and a custardy one…the banana leaves leaves them a little to moist for me, and a different flavor added to them…I prefer corn hands down…

My grandma said the same thing. Everyone does it their own way. The tamales you used to make sound different. What would you include in them? Christmas was great here! I’m glad yours was fun! Believe me, I had several tamales for you! 🙂
