It’s Finally Friday!

Happy Friday everyone! I’m so glad this week is finally over! It was a long week here! I know I know, I always say that! Lol. A few minutes ago, I read the Super Bowl Halftime show could’ve been better than it actually was. I’m not saying it was bad because it wasn’t but…Carlos Santana, along with local San Francisco bands Metallica, Journey and The Steve Miller Band would’ve been better! One, they’re all musical legends in their own right and two they’re local musicians from San Francisco! I’ve always believed in supporting local musicians and performers, along with local businesses first. I promise to work on interviewing more local talent here on Life of an El Paso Woman. According to Entertainment Tonight and US Magazine, Carlos Santana wrote the following on his Facebook page on Tuesday:

“Dear NFL/CBS…I would like to take this opportunity to thank you both for including me as a part of your Super Bowl entertainment. I do feel compelled to point out to you that the Halftime Show should have included some of the local iconic bands that the World would have loved to see perform. Bands like Metallica, Steve Miller, Journey and yours truly. We would have rocked the Half Time Show and done the SF Bay Area proud. This is just an invitation for you to consider iconic bands as part of your Half Time entertainment. Real live music, real live vocals, and give the audience real live chills.”
