Hi everyone! I hope your Tuesday was great! I’m getting the wonderful opportunity to cover Pope Francis’ arrival in Ciudad, Juarez tomorrow! I received my press credentials today. I won’t be crossing into Juarez. I’ll either be at Scenic Drive or Tom Lea Park with local, national and maybe even world media. Both areas are extremely close to Juarez. I’m excited and nervous at the same time about this opportunity of a lifetime. This is probably the largest event I’ve ever covered in my writing career. I’ve interviewed a lot of bands and people in show business in the past. However, I’ve never covered anything quite like this. I feel great about covering such a huge event! At the same time, I’m not sure what to expect. The parks and parking open at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning. The open air mass starts at 4 p.m. Please stay tuned for photos and a detailed post of my experience here on Life of an El Paso Woman. I bought a decent camera today. I hope I can take some great photos to share. Thank Goodness the weather is supposed to be in the high 70’s or low 80’s! These past few days, the weather has been extremely sunny and warm here!
