One of the TV shows I miss watching on a regular basis is My Name is Earl. I watched a couple of episodes yesterday on Netflix. The show was one my favorites throughout its four seasons between 2005-09. It was canceled because Jay Leno’s Tonight Show took its place. The show didn’t have much a finale. I wouldn’t mind seeing a finale today. According to a podcast on Nerdist last year, Jason Lee (Earl Hickey) told the podcast’s host, Chris Hardwick he wouldn’t mind starring in a wrap-up movie. You can check out the post here. http://nerdist.com/jason-lee-open-to-my-name-is-earl-movie/
Although I have several favorite episodes, my all-time favorite is part 1 of Our Cops is On. Part 2 is also funny but I prefer part 1. I’ve seen this episode around 10 or 15 times. It always makes me laugh every time. It’s always as if I’m watching the episode for the first time. Earl and his brother, Randy watch the Cops episode at their neighborhood bar when the bar runs out of alcohol. Earl gets caught stealing batteries and a police car. Other residents from Camden County also get in trouble for drinking and driving. A prostitute solicits a customer at a convenience store. Another resident is walking around his neighborhood covered with a large boa constrictor. Earl and his ex-wife bump into his ex-girlfriend while they’re driving the police car. I included a clip of the episode. Unfortunately, YouTube doesn’t have the full episode available for free. Each episode is $1.99. I could keep watching this same episode over and over again! I don’t think I’ll ever stop laughing at this one. I like to watch this specific episode whenever I’ve had a long and stressful day. Is there a TV show you wish was still on the air? Is there a TV show you’d like to see as a movie?

Interesting! 🙂 I remember there was a show on UPN that was the first part of Sex and the City. It was about Carrie’s life before she moved to New York City. This is another show though. It wasn’t as good as Sex and the City on HBO.

Nope. It was on UPN and the CW. A modern day Sex in the City featuring four black girlfriends.

I’ve never seen Girlfriends. Was it a reality TV show?

I’ve heard good things about Portlandia. I haven’t seen WPC58. PBS has good stuff.

WPC56 is the correct name of the British cop series.

I used to chuckle at “Corner Gas” but I can’t find it anymore. I do watch “Portlandia”. I love period movies & shows such as “WPC58″…I am a PBS fan.

It used to be on HBO. It’s supposedly in the conversation of one of the best television shows ever.
