Happy One-Year Blogiversary to Me!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great day and Happy Thursday! Today is one year of blogging for me! To be honest, I didn’t think I’d still be blogging. I’ve had days when I’ve felt like quitting and giving up. I’m glad I haven’t because I would miss you and writing too much! I think I’ve told some of you how I started this blog. In case you forgot or I never told you, I’ll refresh your memory.

This blog started shortly after helping my childhood friend, Ryan Loera a.k.a. Noiseless Madman with his e-zine Orangutan Spin. Around this time last year, I wrote a couple of reviews for him. After a five-year break, I started writing again. I figured lots of people have blogs, so why not start my own? My very first post was a review about the 50 Shades of Grey movie. You can check it out here. I want to thank Ryan for allowing me to write for his e-zine. I also want to thank him for encouraging me to keep writing.

I want to thank my family and friends who visit this site regularly. A thank you also goes out to everyone who comments on my blog! You all are what makes Life of an El Paso Woman what it is today! Thank you to everyone who follows me on social media.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow as a blogger and writer. I’ve learned so much by reading different blogs from around the world. My writing continues to improve all the time! I’m happy I began the weekly Saturday Evening Interview in October. I’m excited I shared some of my special life moments with you. For example, my trip to the Grand Canyon, my son’s 10th birthday, covering Pope Francis’ visit to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, etc.

What should you expect in the future? You’ll be getting more interviews, music, events, guest posts, etc. Going forward, I’m going to do my best to post a daily song or songs. Hello everyone! My name is Lisa Amaya. I'm a 30 some year old mom to one son. My blog is about my life, entertainment, current events, people and events in my hometown, El Paso, Texas, etc. My blog will also feature pieces about Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and surrounding areas in New Mexico.
