Hi everyone! I realize I’m super late on my post! I have a little story to tell you all. Since today’s the 21st anniversary of Selena Quintanilla-Perez’s death, I’m going with this song. Today also wraps up March and Women’s History Month. Thank you all so much for the support! I hope I can continue playing music and expanding the celebration of women in the years to come. Today is also Cesar Chavez Day here in Texas and other states. What a mix of special occasions today! I look up to both Cesar Chavez and Selena. Both played a huge role for Latinos. Now for my story…
First, I have to say I am literally lucky to be alive today. I was involved in a pretty bad car accident yesterday evening after work. I got rear-ended on my way home from work by a Ford F-150. The accident happened on Interstate- 10. A semi truck was also in the way as I was trying to switch lanes. The man who was driving the F-150 didn’t want to let me switch into his lane. I thought he was finally going to let me but he slammed into the back of my car really hard. My head hit the headrest pretty hard. I passed out for a couple of minutes. To be honest, I thought I was going to die. I saw some bright lights for a couple of minutes. Luckily, the fire department came and checked my vitals. There were some people who actually stopped and got out of their vehicles to call 911. I’m so thankful for them checking to see if I was alright. I ended up going to the hospital because my head was hurting so much. It’s still hurting right now! I’m suffering from a concussion and some soreness. I’m so grateful for my wonderful support system, friends and co-workers who have been checking on me throughout today and yesterday. My family has also been taking care of me. I don’t know what’s going to happen with my car yet but I’ll be getting the police report in a few days. Always remember to count your blessings. Cherish the people who love you and never take them for granted. They could be gone within seconds. Take care everyone! I think I’m going to take a couple of days off.
Thank you so much! 💖 I’m so lucky to be a part of this wonderful and caring community.

I’m glad the dude didn’t have a gun, as it appears he was driving under the influence of anger, as well as being a dickhead. Feel better soon.
