Good morning everyone! I hope your weekend is going well! Since Coachella 2016 ends today, I’m also ending my weekly series here. I’m taking you back to the first Coachella Festival in 1999. That year, Coachella hosted mostly alterative rock bands and house DJs on their stages. Although he didn’t headline (even though I think he should’ve), I’m featuring some songs by my birthday twin, Moby, along with others. I’ve had the pleasure of watching Moby perform live back in 2003 at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I was a junior in college at the time. The man knows how to put on a hell of a show! According to the official Coachella web site, other bands who headlined Coachella 1999 were: Beck, The Chemical Brothers, Morrissey, Rage Against the Machine and Tool.

And last but certainly not least, a hometown band called At The Drive In played at the very first Coachella festival. Like I’ve said before, I’m always for supporting local bands, businesses and entertainment.
