Happy Friday everyone! I’m glad we finally made it through another week! Today I’m including a variety of songs from different artists. Pitbull and Prince Royce will perform in El Paso on July 20 at the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP) Don Haskins Center. I’ve been a fan of Pitbull’s music since around 2007. At the time, he was crossing over from pop and rap music in Spanish to songs in English. He’s collaborated with a variety of artists throughout the years like Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Chris Brown, etc. Prince Royce is well-known for his Bachata sound. According to Wikipedia, Bachata music originated in The Dominican Republic in the first half of the 20th century. Bachata music typically includes different types of guitars and bongo drums in songs. I’m not sure if I’m going to this concert. Pitbull is a great entertainer! He gets the crowd moving throughout the show. You only spend a couple a minutes sitting down.
One of my first favorite songs from Pitbull
I’ve seen Pitbull perform twice in El Paso. I saw him last year with Enrique Iglesias and in 2008 with Reggaeton artist Don Omar. According to Wikipedia, Reggaeton music has a Latino and Caribbean sound to it. It became popular in the U.S. in 2004. I hope you enjoy this music, everyone! Have a great weekend! I’ll be back with some more posts this weekend. I most likely won’t have a Saturday Evening Interview until next week. If I don’t have one, I’ll repost a previous interview from last year.
A remake from a classic.
Ooooh!!! That is SO exciting! 😀

I’m doing an assignment on him for a local publication in July. I asked to interview him but I don’t know if his people will let me.

I am a huge fan of both Pitbull and Enrique!!!! You are sooo lucky to have been to their concert 😀 There is one in NYC but we will be missing it by a couple of days 😦 If we had known earlier we would have planned our travel like that.

I finally got to hear it, I like it. It’s a timeless classic, so it’s hard to mess up. It was the song I danced with my daughter to at her wedding, so I love it.

Yes, I only know what is played on the radio stations over here. Most of all that are all the duets he did! But it’s cool!

Ha ha! He’s just crossing over. He’s done a couple of hits with J-Lo and Pitbull. I think he did one with Ariana Grande too.

Liked him, yes! Biggest fan liked, not so much. Yes I have heard of Prince Royce, but I’m not too familiar with his songs.

I didn’t know you were that big of a fan of Mr. 305, uh Worldwide! He does have some great songs to make you dance, and some great features on other artists’ songs as well. Great choice for a Friday, Lisa!
