Hi everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Since Saturdays on Life of an El Paso Woman are now dedicated to the local music scene, I’m including music by the 11-member band, Ribo Flavin’. I’m amazed and blown away by their unique jazzy and hip-hop sound! I’ve enjoyed listening to tracks from their 2014 album, “Full Circle.” Ribo Flavin worked on their album at Sonic Ranch. Sonic Ranch is the world’s largest residential recording studio complex. It’s located in Tornillo, Texas, 30 miles east of El Paso. Several local and worldwide artists have recorded their albums there.
If you’re into the Dave Matthews Band and/or The Roots, you may like Ribo Flavin’s sound. The band will be playing at tonight’s Neon Desert Music Festival at the Home Grown Live Stage. I’ll be tweeting photos and videos from the event. I’ll also include more music and a review tomorrow and Monday. Have a great rest of the weekend, everyone! I’ll have a Saturday Evening Interview for you later on today!

I know! I should’ve talked to them last night! I’ll put more videos of them on Twitter later on. It took them two years to record the album you heard.
