Sunday Song 5-29-16

Hi everyone! I hope your Sunday and weekend are going well! I took almost all day to completely recover from day 1 of the Neon Desert Music Festival! In about an hour or so, I’m on my way to day 2. I’m SO excited about day 2! I’m excited to see Ludacris and Daddy Yankee the most! Let’s see if I can hang until midnight or later tonight! Yesterday was a long but fun and productive day! First, I attended another event for an assignment. I then spent quality time with my son. Afterwards, I headed off to NDMF. If you follow me on Twitter, you can check out some of the pics and videos I posted from Saturday. I’ll be including more today as well. I’ll have a review and photos from the event tomorrow on the blog. I’ve had a GREAT time covering and experiencing the event! I’ve enjoyed meeting new people and listening to some new and local bands.

Today I’m leaving you with a song by 21-year-old singer, songwriter, model and producer Niykee Heaton. I wasn’t that familiar with her or her music until I saw her live at NDMF Saturday evening. I think she has a very powerful voice. I was immediately drawn to her performance. Even though she writes her own lyrics, I’m not crazy about some of them. Niykee Heaton has an interesting story behind her music. Niykee Heaton first became noticed on her YouTube channel. She eventually launched her own music site, Naturyl Born Killers. You can check it out here. Have a great rest of the day, everyone! You can check me out on Twitter tonight! I’ll be back on the blog tomorrow! It might not be until later due to recovery time! 😀

  1. Hi Erika! Are you back from vacation? I hadn’t really heard of her before. It’s nice not being at work today. I’m working on some assignments and recovering from last night. Lol. I was out until after 1 a.m. I had so much fun! Back to reality… Lol or not? Thanks for the Memorial Day wishes!
