Hi everyone and Happy Romantic Tuesday! For today I have “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker. If you remember the popular 90’s band Hootie and the Blowfish, you’ll remember Darius Rucker. I never would’ve thought he’d crossover to country music but he did! “Wagon Wheel” climbed the U.S. Country music charts during its release in 2013. The song won a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance.
The song brings back memories of when I first started dating my boyfriend. Although we’ve had our ups and downs in three years, we’re happy together most of the time. We’ve had a lot of good memories traveling to different states, eating good food, taking care of each other when we’re sick, good conversations, laughing at dumb things, the list of good things goes on. Even though he hates for people to know it, he’s celebrating his birthday today. We went through some really hard times this year but I’m happy we’re still in each other’s lives. So I want to say Happy Birthday to him! Out of respect for him, I’m not including his name. He’s become one of my best friends. Our love continues to grow and become stronger. I love him more than he knows. Have a great rest of the day, everyone!
That’s amazing

Thank you Erika! 💖 He wanted to go to the pet store and have lunch and drinks so…we’re going to do that. My mom also made him a Pina Colada cake. It was really good!

I thought it was great! It was also the very first time I smelled pot. I thought there was a skunk lurking in the crowd, until one of my more savvy friends educated me. Haha. Lots of firsts, thanks to Mr. Rucker. 😉

Oh wow! How was the concert? He has a great voice in pop/rock and country. He performed at the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque a couple of years back when we went. We didn’t catch too much of the show because my son wanted to see the balloon glow.

Hootie and the Blowfish was my very first concert! I loved it. I don’t generally like country music, but I love his voice.

good tune. He’s always had kind of a southern country rock style when he sings.

Well, you picked a good one for today! We both have that problem choosing songs sometimes, probably because there is so much good music to choose from! Sometimes the song chooses me.
