Friday Song 7-29-16

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have an exciting weekend ahead! I have to start getting my son ready for school. My son starts fifth grade on Monday! Seriously, where does the time go?? I have to buy him school supplies and take him to get a haircut. I was supposed to go to the dentist tomorrow but my tooth’s infected 😦 I plan on going to Juarez because it’s A LOT less expensive. My grandmother’s neighbor is a dentist over there so she’ll be able to take me. I have to get another root canal and other work done. I’m trying to quit drinking sodas for good. I’m addicted to the fizz and caffeine! I’ve quit in the past but I always go back to it, especially when I get stressed out! I haven’t drank soda in four days! I hope I can quit for good!

Today I’m taking you back to 1994 with “Tootsee Roll.” I still hear it on Pandora and old school radio A LOT! YouTube says this version is the original mix. I think this version is different from the radio version. According to Wikipedia, “Tootsee Roll” was number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Rap Tracks charts in 1994. It was also number eight on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1994. Enjoy your weekend, everyone! I’ll have some local music for you on Saturday.

  2. Gosh, I am late today! Oh, I hear you, Lisa! My daughter just drove by today with her new dream car, a Mini Cooper S, 5 door. She picked it up today. Such a cute car and it has simply everything. She turns 21 next month and I too thought where did the time go… That’s a funny song. Did not know it yet. Happy weekend, Lisa!

  3. I like it because October is always a good time to go on vacation. The rates are less and there’s less people…AND it’s usually perfect weather. He doesn’t have as much time to be bored either! I grew up going to school this way since 4th grade. He’s gone the traditional way but since we moved he’s now going year round.
