Hi everyone. I hope your Tuesday is going well. The world lost Juan Gabriel, a music legend on Sunday. In case you missed my original post, you can look at it here. Many, especially in the Latino community, are taking his death really hard. However, some are celebrating his life and music career. Thousands gathered at his homes in Mexico and the U.S. to mourn his loss. He owned a home in Juarez and even here in El Paso’s lower valley. I’m including one of his songs here for today’s Romantic Tuesday post. Most, if not all of his songs, were about love and heartbreak. Throughout the years, he also collaborated with several artists by singing with them or writing their songs. It was hard to only pick one of his songs but I decided on “Abrazame muy Fuerte” (Hold me very close). The song was released in 2000. It was the theme song for the telenovela, “Abrazame muy Fuerte.” I also included the translated lyrics in English, along with a duet of the song and a video of his home in Juarez. Have a great day, everyone! I might be back later or on Wednesday.

I read about this in the news and I thought about you.
Seems he’s in good company with all of the musical losses we’ve had this year.
Rest in peace Amigo!
