Monday Song, etc. 9-5-16

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend was good! It was a three-day weekend here because of the Labor Day holiday. I spent time with my family and ran errands. I took my son to the El Paso Chihuahuas baseball game on Saturday night. We were kind of bored and disappointed they lost but oh well! I’m not looking forward to going to work on Tuesday AT ALL! It’s supposed to rain here all week because of Hurricane Newton! 😦 I already need another vacation! If I could, I’d like to go to Vegas and/or Dallas. I want to take my son to a Cowboys game this year.  As of right now, I don’t know if it’s going to happen.

Although I’ve included Queen’s songs in the past, I wanted to include one of my favorites for the second time. Today would’ve been lead singer Freddy Mercury’s 70th birthday. Mercury passed away on November 24, 1991 in London. Do you have any favorite Queen songs? I’m almost falling asleep so I will see you all on Tuesday. I’ll have a Romantic Tuesday post for you. Have a goodnight/good morning everyone!

  1. Some fav Queen songs: Mustapha, Spread Your Wings, The Prophet’s Song, Death on Two Legs, White Queen (As It Began), Stone Cold Crazy, Son and Daughter and Dragon Attack.

  2. I heard that a major University is offering a course that discusses the beauty and uniqueness of his voice. Isn’t that amazing?
    Love you Freddie! RIP
    Great post Lisa✨💫

  3. So did I!!! I was blessed to know many of their classics since they were released! I also saw the musical…. it has a touching part dedicated to Freddie and many other legends! Beautiful!

  4. So many favorites, Mercury had the voice of an angel…or maybe an opera singer, not sure which. Bohemian…for sure, but also,”Under Pressure” because of Bowie. I also loved “Show Must Go On” and all of the stadium anthems. ☺

  5. Yes I do have a favorite Queen song…..whichever one is playing!

However I have always enjoyed thier cover of “Hey Big Spender”. I think it really suits the Band and Freddy; in words and music. It isn’t played much but of course it is a cover but I enjoy it always. ~~dru~~
