#RomanticTuesday 10-11-16

Hi everyone! I hope your Tuesday is off to a great start! Monday was a holiday for some. I don’t consider Columbus Day a holiday. Anyway…I’m sorry for not posting yesterday! It was a pretty bad day at work and life in general! I’m glad today is already another day. It’s a fresh start for a new beginning 🙂 Please forgive me if I don’t post as much in the upcoming months. I’m going through a lot of changes at work right now. I’m also trying to make up my mind on things. I’m still here guys even if it’s not as much as before. From now on, I’ll be posting on Tuesdays (I’ll have a Romantic Tuesday post) and weekends. Once things start getting better, I’ll post more often. Thank you for understanding.

Today I’m taking you back to 2013 with Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” Wikipedia says the song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100. It was named the best song of 2013 by Pitchfork Media. It was also number one in South Africa, along with a couple of other Billboard lists like the Rhythmic and the R&B/hip-hop. It was number five in Canada, his native country. The song has been covered by several bands and singers. I included one of my favorite covers by the late Christina Grimmie. Grimmie was a contestant on the popular singing competition show, “The Voice” in 2014. She finished in third place during season six of the competition. Grimmie died of gunshot wounds in June. While she was signing autographs after a performance, she was shot and killed in Orlando. She was just 22 years old when she died.

  1. That’s a lovely song, Lisa (both versions). I am sorry that you are going through such rough times at the moment. I hope that you have crossed that valley soon to reach the most wonderful new beginning ever! Take your time. We will still be here too!

  2. Great choice, Lisa. I was watching the Voice when Grimmie performed her version of Drake’s hit. It was an awesome rendition of the song. It’s a shame that she was shot while she was building a career.
