Hi everyone and Happy Friday! As of right now, it looks like I’ll be posting Loveuary posts every other day. Things are hectic so this is what works for right now. Today I’m going to use Ritu’s prompt, chocolate. El Paso has a couple of chocolate shops I enjoy visiting once in awhile. Here they are below:
One of my favorite local shops is Chocolat’. Owner Leigh Kersh opened Chocolat’ in 2002. According to their website, she was inspired to open up shop after a visit to a candy store in New York City. Although it’s been awhile since I’ve stopped by, I can’t say which chocolate of theirs is my favorite. They have a HUGE selection to choose from! I think I’ll have to go with their chocolate-covered strawberries and cherries. I just LOVE how beautifully decorated the chocolates are! I can tell Chocolat’ puts a ton of love and effort into their products. Here’s a few photos of Chocolat’ desserts from their website and Facebook page. In order to beat the Valentine’s Day rush, I think I’ll have to visit the west El Paso shop really soon! Supporting local businesses and eating chocolate is the best thing ever! Chocolat’s website says they also ship their chocolate. I’m not sure if they mean locally and/or nationally.
My other favorite chocolate shop is Fudge-N-More in downtown El Paso. My favorite dessert there is their loaded brownie pictured below. Besides a huge brownie, the loaded brownie includes: chopped strawberries (I LOVE anything and everything with strawberries!), whipped cream and a tiny drizzle of chocolate syrup on top. If I remember correctly, the loaded brownie also includes pecans. You have to eat this dessert quickly or else it gets too soggy. Here’s a few photos from a Google Search and their Facebook page. It’s been awhile since I’ve visited their shop. Ahh, these photos are making me really hungry! What’s your favorite kind of chocolate? Have a great weekend everyone and I’ll see you soon!
