Hi everyone and Happy Friday/St. Patrick’s Day! I hope your week was great! I’m going to be busy with some freelance projects in the next few weeks so I might not be around as much. I’ll be posting a Romantic Tuesday post every week for sure but my other posts may be limited for the next two or three weeks.
This past Monday was a huge deal for El Paso country singer Valerie Ponzio. Valerie wowed all four coaches with her version of Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire. Although it was a tough decision for her, she chose Blake Shelton as her coach. I’m excited to interview her for one of my upcoming freelance projects soon. I’m also excited to see where “The Voice” takes the 32-year-old in her music career. She’s a member of the band, Val and the Southern Line. She lives in California and is sometimes in El Paso. Valerie was recently featured in Rolling Stone, along with several other worldwide publications. Fellow blogger and friend Tracy from A Joyful Process reviews every episode on his blog and Facebook page. You can check out his take on Valerie here. What do you think of Valerie’s voice? One word I’d use to describe her voice is unique. Have a great weekend, everyone and I’ll see you soon!

She’s really nice. I just talked to her for the story I’m doing for a paper here in El Paso. I also catch up on The Voice thru Tracy’s posts, especially if I miss it.

I liked her audition. And I really like Tracy’s recaps…I get to see them in the a.m. after I (sometimes) fall asleep before the show ends.
