#RomanticTuesday 4-11-17

Hi everyone and Happy Romantic Tuesday! I kind of had a hard time picking a song again! I finally decided on this classic by Chicago. I’ve been listening to Chicago more often these days. I had the opportunity to see them live recently. It was one of the best high energy concerts I’ve ever been to in my 20 plus years of attending concerts. It’s hard to believe some of the band members are in their early 70’s. In case you missed my review, you can check it out here.

Founding member and trombonist James Pankow wrote “Colour My World.” The song was released in 1970. It reached number 7 on the Billboard Music Charts. Wikipedia says “Colour My World” became a popular slow dance song at many proms and university dances in the 70’s. I tried looking for covers of the song on YouTube. This was probably the best one I found.  Leonid & Friends is a cover band that covers several of Chicago’s hit songs. What do you think of their cover? Since the lyrics are so romantic, I also included them. Have a great day, everyone and I’ll see you soon! I’m working on some freelance writing projects so it might be a few days. I’ll be back ASAP!

Colour My World

As time goes on,
I realize
Just what you mean
To me
And now,
Now that you’re near,
Promise your love
That I’ve waited to share
And dreams
Of our moments together
Colour my world with hope of loving you

This was too cute not to share! It’s still Chicago singing it.
