Hi everyone! Happy Romantic Tuesday! Also, Happy Fourth of July! I hope you’re having a great week so far! The positive thing about this week is that it’s a four-day work week for many! I wasn’t sure which song to pick for today! After looking on YouTube for awhile, I finally decided to include two old school songs. One’s from 1982 and the other is from 1995! LOL. Can you believe I’m still listening to these in 2017?? “Hey Lover” by LL Cool J features Boyz II Men. “Hey Lover” made it to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and hot R&B singles. The guys sing about having a crush on a beautiful woman whose taken by another man. The lyrics are super steamy! Speaking of crushes… I’m not ashamed to admit I once had a crush on LL. He still looks incredible at 49 years old. That’s just my opinion of course 😉
“Hey Lover” samples Michael Jackson’s “The Lady in My Life.” Even though “Thriller” is one of my all-time favorite albums, I didn’t even know “Hey Lover” samples it until Monday night! Since “Thriller” is one of my favorite albums, I also included “The Lady in My Life.” What do you think of these songs? For those who celebrate, have a great Fourth of July! I’ll see you soon!
