#RomanticTuesday 8-1-17

wp-1496732827549.Hi everyone! I hope your week is starting off great! Happy August and Romantic Tuesday! Things over here seem to be moving quickly! My 11-year-old son just started 6th grade and middle school on Monday. He goes to the same middle school I went to! I took him to school and to be honest it was kind of weird! The school looks EXACTLY the same! A couple of teachers I had back then are still there! LOL. I attended that school about 21 or 22 years ago! Wow! The only difference is that they took out the lockers. Other than that everything looks the same. I’ll be honest with you…I didn’t like that school at all. Kids can be so mean, especially at that age! I told my son I had fun with my friends which is true 🙂 Middle school can be an awkward time in a kid’s life! I don’t plan on telling him about my shenanigans there. 😀 Seriously, where does the time go?

Today I’m taking you back to 1998 with “A Thousand Years” by Sting. I think the song and lyrics are beautiful in this one. The lyrics are included in the video in case you want to follow along. “A Thousand Years” was released on Sting’s sixth solo album, “Brand New Day.”  Wikipedia says the album peaked at number nine on the Billboard 200. More than 3 million copies were sold in the U.S. Sting earned a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. He wrote the lyrics to “A Thousand Years” and worked on the album’s production. Have a great day, everyone and I’ll see you soon! I hope you enjoy this song!

  1. Regardless I still go to a Catholic Church. I started going again recently. I didn’t want to go for years. My son is going to make his first holy communion.

  2. I was afraid of them, but also respectful. I even wanted to enter a convent at one point. (That passed during puberty). So many lefties suffered that same fate, I always felt bad for them.

  3. Yeah, I agree! It’s a hard and awkward time to grow up. I went to a Catholic school in elementary school but not for long. The nuns were super mean and grouchy. Lol. I’m left handed and they made me write with my right. I hope the nuns weren’t as bad with you!

  4. Middle school…ugh. It’s the worst time for kids, I think. The one I went to was turned into a community college…I had the chance to go there for an event, I was shocked at how small it seemed to me as an adult. But, as a kid..it overwhelmed me, coming out of a small, Catholic elementary school. Memories.
