The Grateful List

Hi everyone! I hope you’re doing well! I’m sorry I haven’t been around as much! Last week was SUPER busy! I was working on some freelance projects (I’m grateful for this). I hope I’ll have more time this week to write in the blog. Tikeetha, one of my favorite bloggers, is currently blogging about different things she’s grateful for this month. Please check out/follow her blog if you aren’t already. She has a fun and interesting perspective on life. Although I’m not doing a different grateful post everyday, I decided to do a grateful list today. Thursday is Thanksgiving in the U.S. Although I make lists of what I’m grateful for in a notebook often, I wanted to share a list here. My lists usually include 10-20 things. I’ll include 10 things in this list.

*My Family- They are supportive towards my dreams and goals. They also help me with my son SO much! I don’t know how I would be able to work if they didn’t help me with him.

*My son- He always makes me proud to be his mom. He’s always well-behaved at school. He makes me laugh a lot and he’s really intelligent. He sometimes acts like he’s not smart but I know better because he acts just like me! I can’t take all of the credit for this. He’ll be a great big brother. We’re hoping it happens in 2018.

*My boyfriend- Although we’ve had a lot of ups and downs in almost five years, he continues to stick with me. I’m glad our relationship is getting stronger. I’m grateful for all of the times he’s helped me. We always have the best conversations. Aside from him being my lover, he has become my best friend. I’m grateful for all of the times he’s taken me out to eat or to have a good time. I’ve also enjoyed all of our vacations together. He took me and my son to Disney World, The Grand Canyon and many other places in between. One of the best vacations we took was to San Francisco. If only if it was less expensive to live there! Maybe someday…

*Money- Although I don’t have a lot of it, I’m grateful for what I have right now. More is coming my way soon!

*This blog/my followers- I’m grateful for each and everyone who follows my blog. Thank you for your support and every single comment you’ve left for me. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read what I’ve written. I’m also grateful for businesses who want to be a part of it. A thank you also goes out to everyone who’s invited me to their events. I’ve met a lot of wonderful people through blogging.

*Going to go to church- Although I didn’t go for a long time, I decided to start going to Sunday mass a few months back. It’s been a great experience! Before I started attending my church, they helped me out when I was unemployed on more than one occasion. They offered me and my son a fan and food from their pantry. I also didn’t know how I was going to pay my $200 electric bill during the hot summer months but they came through. I’m also glad my son’s able to attend religious formation classes so he can make his first holy communion. My faith in God has become stronger since I started going. He’s helped me so many times in life, especially this year.

*My health- Ever since I had surgery in September, I feel a lot better most days. I still have some bad days but not as many as before. I also have to say thank you to my family and boyfriend for taking care of me. I was down for almost a month. I couldn’t go to work.

*Having food- I’m grateful for never going hungry because I either have food in my refrigerator or my family gives me some. My mom bakes the best cakes from scratch! My favorites are Pina Colada and German chocolate. Her lasagna is also the best! My grandma makes the best gorditas (puffy tacos), menudo and green chile. My boyfriend is a grill master. Even though it’s past 10 p.m., I’m getting hungry!

*My laptop- Without this, I’m not sure how I would be able to communicate online and write in this blog. And last but not least for tonight…

El Paso Weather- I’m SO glad it’s not snowing or cold like in other states. El Paso is also known as ‘The Sun City.’ We get about 300 days of sunshine without natural disasters like hurricanes, tornados and blizzards. One more thing…

Music- I love listening to music for many reasons. It relaxes my soul when I’m upset or stressed out. It also brings out the best moods in me. I’ve also had the privilege to meet a lot of local and worldwide musicians via interviews. I’ve also gone to several concerts throughout my life.

How about you? What are you grateful for these days? Take care everyone, I’ll have a Romantic Tuesday post for you.
