Hi everyone! I hope your week is starting off great! I’ve been spending time doing exciting things like cleaning, looking for a job and washing! Anyway… If you’ve been following world headlines, you might’ve heard of Cranberries lead singer Dolores O’Riordan passing away Monday at a London hotel. She was only 46 years old. She left behind a husband and children. I got sad when I heard the news because I grew up listening to the Cranberries a lot as a teenager. My favorite Cranberries albums were “Everyone Else is doing it, why can’t we?” and “No Need to Argue.” Listening to music has always been a form of therapy for me. As a teenager, I always enjoyed reading and listening to good music. O’Riordan had a beautiful voice. The Cranberries wrote songs about love, breaking up and even social issues like abortion. They always wrote and performed songs from the heart and soul. Today I’m leaving you with the romantic/breakup song, “Linger.” The song debuted in 1993 and was the band’s first major hit. It peaked at number 8 in the United States and number 3 in their native country, Ireland. “Linger” still gets played on the El Paso radio airwaves once in awhile. Take care everyone and have a great rest of your week.
Yes. It’s too bad she passed away last week. Hope you’re staying warm!

“Linger” was always my favorite Cranberries song. An untimely death like hers is always a stark reminder of life’s fragile nature.

It’s also really sad when they leave behind kids, a spouse.

Lisa, this is sad. Dying too young is a tragedy, but even more so when they touch so many. Keith

Yes, very sad, only 46, divorced from her husband though. I just did a post about losing her too- my fav song was ‘No need to Argue’; played it after many a break up!
