Beto O’ Rourke for U.S. Senate or…how about President?

Hi everyone! I hope you’re doing well! If you’re from Texas or on social media often, you probably know who Beto O’ Rourke is. He’s running for the Texas Senate seat against Republican Ted Cruz. He’s making a name for himself on the Internet these days! He rolled into a Texas Whataburger on a skateboard recently. He’s getting attention from Ellen DeGeneres, Lebron James and several other celebrities on Twitter because of his stance on kneeling for the National Anthem during NFL games. Vanity Fair even compared him to a Kennedy! I included the video that’s being talked about on social media. Have you seen it? If so, what do you think?

For the most part, I agree with most, if not all, of what O’Rourke stands for. Some things he stands for: The legalization of marijuana, he favors comprehensive immigration reform, the expansion of Medicaid, a complete ban on assault riffles/stricter gun control legislation, the impeachment of Donald Trump. I’ve known of him for a long time because he’s from El Paso. He was in the El Paso city council and is now a state representative. He is very well-liked in El Paso. I wonder why he can’t be our president? I wonder if he would consider running for president in the future? I realize a senator’s term is six years but maybe after his term? We don’t know if he’s going to win in November but I think it could be a possibility. Cruz only has a 38 percent approval rating. Texas and this country needs someone like him to be in office. If you’re in Texas, I hope you consider voting for him. He can count on us for our vote. Take care everyone and I’ll see you soon!
