Hi everyone! I hope you’re doing well! I recently came back from Knoxville, Tennessee. Oops…I haven’t updated the blog in weeks! Can you believe the blog turned 4 some days back? Thank you to those who are still with me! I appreciate the love and support throughout the years. I appreciate it more than you know. Cheers! Here’s to more years of writing and blogging.
While in Knoxville, I was mostly in job training. There wasn’t too much time to look around. My boss and co-worker took me out to eat a few times. Most of the people I ran into were pretty nice and friendly there. The two female taxi drivers I had were very talkative and nice. I had to ask for directions a couple of times while I was downtown. I’m such a dork when it comes to being in a new place and directions. People were very polite about giving them to me. It rained almost all day everyday I was there. I’m not used to that! I only took a few photos while I was in Knoxville. I’m still learning a lot in my new job. I’ll tell you more about it later. I’ll be going to San Francisco (one of my favorite cities) for more training in April.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was when my boss and co-worker took me to this cool little bar called the Peter Kern Library. It’s inside the Oliver Hotel. Besides the obvious reason, I enjoyed this watering hole’s vibe and atmosphere. Several of the mixed drinks are named after characters in books, for example the Holden Caulfield from the classic “The Catcher in the Rye.” I went with a daiquiri. It tasted more like a margarita but it was still good. The bar’s been featured in Southern Living and Playboy.
Another cool part of the trip was going to Cruze Farm Ice Cream. It was a 50’s style/soda fountain ice cream shop. Very cool! I couldn’t decide what to have so I just went with an Oreo blizzard. I can’t remember the exact name of it so I’ll just stick with calling it a Blizzard (like from Dairy Queen). Dairy Queen is a pretty big deal in Texas.

I know I’ve been MIA these days but hope to post more often in the next couple of weeks. I’m excited to celebrate Women’s History Month and watch March Madness college basketball games this month! How have you been, what’s new in your life? Let me know in the comments. Take care everyone and I’ll see you soon!

Thank you Mack! ❤ I didn’t have that much time to look around in Knoxville. We just went to eat with my boss a few times. It also rained the whole time I was there. That’s something I’m not used to. I’m enjoying the job. I’ll talk about it more another time 🙂 Hope all is well for you!

Haha, it is all in a very early stage yet. I am working on the different products. Some work out great and some still need a lot of testing. I am working on the logo with the partner of my sister and then I will work on the new website. Yes, there will also be an online-shop on that website.
